Juror's Statement:
Picture
It has been a pleasure to review this collection of work. Throughout the exhibition, there is a notable sensitivity to color, texture, and composition. Many artists demonstrate a playful and confident use of color palettes - ranging from soft pastels to bold, vibrant hues - that energize their compositions and evoke a wide range of emotional tones. Brushwork and texture are applied thoughtfully to create rhythm, depth, and movement, often lending the work a sense of spontaneity and vitality.

What is especially noteworthy is how many artists have grounded their abstract approaches in traditional subject matter - landscapes, architecture, animals and figures - creating a compelling interplay between the familiar and the expressive. This blend invites viewers to engage with classic themes through fresh, contemporary perspectives while maintaining emotional resonance and clarity of intent.

Overall, this collection reflects a vibrant and thoughtful community of artists who are pushing the boundaries of both traditional and abstract subjects through a confident command of their medium. It has been an honor to serve as juror for this exhibition.
