The workshop includes instruction on cutting techniques, compositional design, layering methods, and creative embellishment. All students will leave with a finished collage piece and the skills to continue creating at home.

NOTE:
Don't worry if you don't have everything on the optional list - the instructor will have additional supplies available for any student that doesn't have certain supplies readily available. Please don't have go out and buy new stuff unless you want to. I'll have things to share! I just know that often, students have favorite brushes, paints, and also their own papers that they would prefer to work with....you can totally bring those! |
This is an example of a collage piece so you can visualize what we might end up making in the class. I like to provide a "base" from which the students can delve into design and technique, but also give them room to push into the meaning and intention behind their creation...so we will talk about that too!
