"The Artist's Sketchbook - A tool for Gathering Information and Generating Ideas"  with J.R. Monks
Saturday, November 8, 2025 -- 9am - 3pm

Join me as we explore the possibilities and process for creating sketchbooks you have always dreamed about! Exciting travel sketchbooks, meaningful process workbooks to help you create new work, and daily studio sketchbooks—all are part of this fast paced exciting and upbeat workshop experience! So many times sketchbooks are started and then abandoned, or as beginning students we were told the importance of a sketchbook but never really figured out how to incorporate the sketchbook into our workflow. In our day together I will show you how I use my sketchbooks as a part of my overall creative process. We will look at examples, learn about materials and practice techniques all designed to get you using your sketchbooks.
