Sharon Lefevre is a Colorado artist whose work celebrates individuality, confidence, and the freedom to take up space. Her artistic journey began with portraits, including paintings of friends and people important to her. Over time, her work has evolved toward more imaginative figurative pieces featuring a bit of whimsy with exaggerated proportions—oversized legs, feet, hands, hips, and other features that deliberately refuse to fit neatly within expectations.
Through humor and distortion, her painted women are allowed to be wonderfully imperfect, unapologetic, and impossible to overlook.
Sharon continues to experiment with portraiture, mixed media, pattern, and surreal figurative work as she develops her own recognizable style. At the heart of her work is a simple idea: women do not have to make themselves smaller to belong.
