SUZANNE CONNORS
"Each piece evolves organically . . . "
|
Suzanne Connors is a Littleton-based artist whose creative journey began in the world of graphic design. A native of Vestal, New York, she earned her BFA in Graphic Design from Rochester Institute of Technology in 1983. Her early career took shape in New York City, where she worked in design studios and corporate settings, including Modern Bride Magazine. After relocating to Colorado in 1987, Suzanne continued her design work with Pentax Corporation and William M. Mercer, Inc. In 1996, she launched her own studio, Connors Creative, specializing in logo design and corporate communications.
Following a successful career in graphic design, Suzanne transitioned from digital design to fine art, bringing her refined sense of color, light, and composition to the canvas. Her award-winning acrylic paintings span realistic landscapes, abstract interpretations, and pure abstraction. Each piece evolves organically, guided by her deep connection to nature and her intuitive use of tools—brushes, rollers, sponges, stencils, scrapers, and palette knives. Suzanne’s work is celebrated for its vibrant energy and thoughtful execution, reflecting a lifelong dedication to visual storytelling. |
