Abstracted Reality

Picture
January 6, 2018
Presbyterian Church

In this fun workshop, we explored the creation of exciting paintings that reflect a feeling of a particular subject matter taken from reality and abstracted. Using the principles of abstraction, subtract and exaggerate, and pushing art principles and elements of color, shape and line, we created work that has our own unique artistic voice. We discussed the importance of finding our own signature style, and how working within a series will helps us develop a cohesive body of work.
