Krista Falkenstine - "The Joy in Creating Abstracts with Shapes and Lines"
Saturday, April 16, 2022 -- 9am - Noon
First Presbyterian Church
1609 W Littleton Blvd, Littleton, CO 80120
Join Krista in experiencing the delight and simplicity of abstract painting through the process of building shapes on canvas, adding colors and then unleashing your creative flair using the Posca paint markers for lines, definition and more.

We started 3 paintings -- one per hour and if you didn’t finish them in class, it is a great tool to take them home to keep playing. We had fun working in our comfortable style, free and adventurous or careful and detailed. This was all about you getting into your creative space and having a good time while learning a new technique.

Supplies:
  • 3 acrylic paint boards or 3 canvasses (your preference). I recommend at least 12x16 size.
  • Acrylic paints of your preferred pallet to include black and white, or primary colors and include black and white.
  • Paintbrushes: your favorite, and a large and medium to large.
  • One set of Primary colors, Posca Paint markers to include one black and if you don’t want to spend that much, please bring at least one fine and one medium black. You can find these at Guiry’s, Meiningers and occasionally at Michaels. The smaller ones tend to sell out quickly so you might want to order online.
  • Optional: Pictures of objects and/or landscapes for inspiration.
  • Water container
  • Paper towels
