Thursday, Friday, Saturday, April 15-17, 2021 -- 9am - Noon

We can find paper anywhere and we can also purchase paper to use in our collage artwork. Our preference to papers is very personal. This workshop will have us repurposing found papers and altering their surface. Creating a palette of papers to choose from and learning about color, texture, value, shapes, and other design elements. We may not even notice this aspect because we will be practicing the art of responding with our choices as we touch every part our palettes we created.
Each half day session will include a demo and time for everyone to work on their own collage palette. After our session time is over you will have the rest of the day to make more papers and coat them to be ready for the final day of assembling your collages with the Tack Iron method. Working with the acrylics glazing mediums in wonderful ways to added depth to your work. Student will end up with a 12 x 12 collage ready to mat and frame.
