We did exercises and studies to learn how to create a good composition using abstract designs and patterns.  We then worked with multiple layers of oil pastels to complete
several small finished pieces.​

Supply List:
Picture
  • Pad of Bristol paper (either brand is acceptable)
  • Inexpensive set of oil pastels
  • Prismacolor ebony pencil (available at Guiry's or online)
  • Flat plastic palette knife (required style of knife in picture above)
  • Ruler
  • Blue tape/masking tape
  • Sketchbook paper or newsprint  (to be used to make a mat mask)
